Incarta is a group of engineers, scientists, and clinicians who are excited about the contribution technology can make to the world enabling research, enriching lives and protecting the environment. We are also aware that technology can have a negative impact on society. So we strive to build systems and implement strategies that minimize risk to both people and place.
The business is led by team of business executives with a wide business experience from multinational corporations to innovative startups and clinical service providers. The Incarta team bring in-house capabilities in hardware design and manufacture, software development and cloud services, infrastructure deployment and management.
Management
Nicholas is a clinical optometrist and business executive having established several successful startups. He has over 25 years experience in the clinical sector and brings to Incarta an in-depth understanding of business management and clinical product development. He has a PhD in clinical science and is a published academic.
Marcus is an Electrical Engineer, researcher and company director with over 30 years experience in the design and development of technology for the cardiac, acute and sub-acute care sectors. He has broad experience in cardiac pacing and defibrillation, digital signal processing, real-time analytics and high performance computing.
Kim is a clinical optometrist and business manager. She has been in clinical practice for over 15 years and held financial management roles with several clinical businesses and clinical technology startups.
Advisors
Pieter Knox has an honours degree in Advanced Mathematics of Finance and a Masters in Engineering on autonomous agents, neural networks and mechanics. He over 19 years’ experience in data science, derivatives trading, investment product structuring, risk management and complex quantitative modelling. Previously he was Vice-President, Market Risk at Deutsche Bank and Associate Director at Macquarie Bank.
Tim Fortin is an international business innovation leader with over 23 years in the medical device industry. Most recently he was Vice President & Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand for Medtronic. Prior to Medtronic Tim spent 11 years at Boston Scientific finishing as General Manager, Cardiovascular, ANZ. He currently holds directorships and advisory roles with several health tech companies.
Erhan, is lawyer, trademark attorney and has broad experience in information technology, ecommerce, privacy, corporate and commercial law. He is a co-author of Lahore’s Patents, Trade Marks & Related Rights. He acts for a range of Australian and international clients, including well-known global brands. He is also the Secretary of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association.
